mmmhm 10/10 for flavor, service and overall atmosphere. I was lucky when I went with it being the prettiest day of the year in New Orleans. With the pleasant weather they were able to open the doors and let the breeze in. The tvs were playing college football games playing and everyone enjoying what they came there for it was a vibe. Seating is super limited with a little space to wait on an order to go but the time went pretty fast. Just help the line out by knowing what you want before it's your turn - and bring CASH. Try something new and you won't be disappointed here at Johnnys

As a tourist with this being my first time ever having a po boy this food was delicious! I got a shrimp po boy and it was amazing. I can tell it was fresh and the workers were nice given the fact that it was VERY busy and a steady line of people literally you finish eating and someone is waiting to take your spot. I'll definitely have to come back on my next trip to New Orleans

This place got highly recommended off the New Orleans Facebook group I belong to. Kind of a hole in the wall place. Small inside. It looks like a deli with glass display of all the goods. The roast beef Po-boy was highly recommended so that's what we got. It's big enough to split and they brought it out in two separate dishes so we cold pour over ours separately. It was a little messy and warm, which was a good on a cold December day. We got it dressed so there was lettuce and tomato on it. It reminds me of a roast beef sandwich. I wish I had a bigger stomach and could try more of there delicious offerings. I guess this gives me an excuse to return to New Orleans. They also have bathrooms and additional seating in back.

Enjoyed the Bayou hospitality and service at Johnny's being visitors from L.A. for the Rams vs Saints game. Cashier and cooks were nice and friendly. Ordered the Voodoo shrimp Po-Boys, fried green tomatoes and hush puppies and washed it down with some sweet tea. Food was the delicious and not heavy or greasy. Shrimp was crunchy a on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. The fried green tomatoes with the dipping sauce was perfectly seasoned. The hush puppies were so good that you can just pop them in your mouth like candy.

Expensive but delicious! Right near the shopping square in the French Quarter. Place small but they make it work. Just remember to have cash as they don't accept plastic! This will be one of our stops every time we're in NOLA!

This place was recommended to me by my tour guide as a great place for a po boy. The sandwich is large and largely did not disappoint! The place is small so it's a little crowded, but I found a table and was ready for my meal. It came out fast and was loaded up with shrimp and lettuce. The bread was amazing and the shrimp tasted great. This would be a solid 3 1/2 stars if that was possible. One star off for being cash only which in 2024 is silly. Especially with an ATM inside the restaurant for those who forget. Just seems a way to get ATM fees which I do not like. Another half point off for the extremely small amount of remoulade on the sandwich. The bites that had it were fantastic and I wish it had more. Happy to round up to 4 with this one and will be back!
